About the Artist-"STEPHEN WIGGIN"

Born in England, Stephen Wiggin immigrated to Canada in 1970. During the early 80's he established himself in the field of aviation art and has had paintings exhibited for the "National Aviation Museum of Canada". Stephen is a strong supporter of various charitable organizations, having donated paintings to such organizations as Easter Seals, Timmy/Tammy Charities, Dunblaine Tragedy, and numerous children's hockey tournaments. He also designed the uniform for the "Philippine Heritage Band (1995)".

Aviation is considered number 1 with his artwork, although Stephen also includes landscapes, sports and wildlife in his painting collections.

Depending on the subject, a variety of acrylic or oil paints are used to capture the visual image. Stephen's ultimate achievement for securing his portrayals on canvas is the emotion inevitably reflected in the viewer's eye.

Accomplishments:

Over the past 20 years, Stephen Wiggin has been honoured with several Awards of Merit for his paintings. In addition, his artwork has been chosen during open competitions across Canada for display in numerous exhibitions, including:

"Operation Wilderness Fire" (1992)

Painting selected for "AIRFLIGHT '92' at the "National Aviation Museum in Ottawa".

"Images of Flight" (1993)

Painting selected for "AIRFLIGHT '93' at the "National Aviation Museum".

"Operation Wilderness Fire" (1993)
