ELECTRIC MINI

1914

STUTZ BEARCAT

The Electric Mini 1914 Stutz Bearcat, was designed and built by Norm Lewis, of Simcoe ON., using "direct proportional" measurement, NO PLANS, just research of the, Harry Stutz invention.

Rescued from going to the scrap yard, an old used, 24 volt electric mobility scooter, was re-design, and customized to re-create a scaled down version of a classical 1912 era sports car, known as the "Stutz Bearcat". It took a little over two years to design and build, this electric version of the Stutz.

There were many models made, and were powered by a 4 cylinder, 4 cycle, 36 horsepower motor, and were capable of speeds of up to 80 mph. This car, in 1914 sold for approximately $3,000., give or take a dollar or two.

The version you will see in upcoming parades and exhibits, can reach a speed of (depending on the terrain) 17.5 km. per hour.

Thanks to the helping hands and sponsorship of, "McArthur Sports", and the, "Fanshawe College-Machine Shop"!

**For those of you who are not familiar with the, "Stutz Bearcat", it is a 1912 era "Sports car" which ran on gas, had a "monocle" windshield, and sold for $3,800.00, in 1914!

This Mini-Stutz Bearcat is fully operational on a 24 volt electrical system, and will be running in the upcoming parades, along with the Titanic model. We sincerely hope that you enjoy this NEW addition to the parades.

The Stutz will be available for static exhibits around the province. Thanks you and have a great parade season.

Sincerely

Norm Lewis
