The Canadian Titanic Society (CTS) was the brain-child of Norm Lewis in 1993, and was later founded in January of 1998, along with fellow co-founders, Larry Robinson of Calgary, Alberta, the late Lynn Jaques of St. Williams, Ontario, Canada. It was officially, federally incorporated and received its "Charter" as a NON-PROFIT historical society, on August 19 of that same year. Since its inception, the CTS gained an international membership. It produced a journal, The Wireless: The Voice of the Canadian Titanic Society. The membership fee included four issues of "The Wireless" along with a certificate of membership, suitable for framing and a laminated ID card. The ID card was renewable every four issues. However, because of circumstances beyond our control, the journal is now DISCONTINUED, so PLEASE....DO NOT send in any stories, or applications for membership!! We will not be publishing again. We apologize for any inconvenience that these changes may cause. Thank you for your cooperation. ***PLEASE NOTE: ALL PAST MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOW CONSIDERED **LIFETIME**, WITH NO EXPIRY!!***
We are
Our constitution is simply this:
As CTS leaders, we will NOT dictate to our members, what to believe in as far as salvaging artifacts, whether or not the Titanic site should be declared a memorial/gravesite or who to blame for any mistakes that were made back in 1912, nor will we EVER give opinions or make comments on behalf of any of it's members. Any opinions or comments made by an officer of CTS is STRICTLY his/hers alone and will NEVER be on behalf of any of it's members. Members are free to have their own personal feelings on any issues concerning the tragedy. We are fortunate to live in a country that allows us to have freedom of choice, to believe individually in what we feel is right or wrong and not to have dictatorship and forced to have a certain belief. No matter what our individual beliefs are, our goal should be the same, working together to help educate and preserve the history and the memory of the victims of such a tragedy. If you require an answer to a question by mail, we ask that you enclose a self addressed stamped envelope, or you may ask the question by email and a response will be forwarded as quickly as time restraints allow. ***PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERSHIPS! All existing memberships are considered "HONOURARY/LIFETIME"

-SALVAGE- The controversial issue
President's personal Note: When the CTS was first started in early 1998, I had all together different views than what I do now. I even printed my views in the first editions of The Wireless. I have since come to realize over the past few years from experience and learning, that an individual must have an open mind, and in keeping with this, grow in knowledge and understanding that not everyone will agree on the same issues or values. However this does NOT mean that the individual is right or wrong in their belief. Everyone has a God given right to their opinion. Thank you. Norm Lewis-President/Founder/CEO
**Editor's Note: The "Discussion Page" is cancelled till further notice, due to excessive ABUSE from VANDALS!!! Once the NEW web site is up and running, the "Discussion Page" will be re-activated, but under the name of, "FORUM" and under STRICT control and MONITORED. Any abuse will NOT be tolerated, and all violators will be BANNED, and BLOCKED from future access to that section. Thank you for your patience and understanding-Editor
